Heavens Down

Heaven's Down in the late 90s played a couple of times at Great Indian Rock (GIR) under the band name of Astroreth. They have played more than 400 shows, memorable ones being GIR, Tour of Australia 12, various Hard Rock cafes in India.

HEAVENS DOWN composes and plays music of world-class standards, one that replicates the classical sound of Rock N Roll Music as recognized by the world. The band’s remarkable resilience is largely a reflection of the determination and the never-say-die spirit that has driven MANJIT JOSEPH, the guitar extraordinaire and Sudarshan R Chetlur (drummer), the founding members of HEAVENS DOWN, earlier known as, Ashtoreth way back in the 90s.

 In the early 1990s, the band confronted the era's confused grunge-orientated restlessness by building an impressive body of edgy rock 'n' roll that retains its emotional resonance even after two decades. Such standards as “Just Too Much", and "Falling Down" stand among Indian Rock's most indelible anthems. HEAVENS DOWN today is known as an uncharacteristically tight band with stage performance and energy levels that can be identified with the best internationally.
