Soliloquy
Soliloquy is the act of conveying one’s thoughts out loud. The Trio - Vatsal Bakhda, Aditya Dutta, and Sonic Shori - are based out of New Delhi. The three got together with the primary intention of discovering a collective sound through musical interplay and improvisations.
 
Vatsal Bakhda
Vatsal Bakhda, pianist/composer, started his musical journey in Kolkata learning Classical Piano under Roshen. He continued his music education further at Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music, where he spent three semesters learning under Pedro Carneiro Silva and Gabriel Geszti, both of who hail from Brazil, equipping him with a unique playing style with strong traditional Brazilian influences. He continues to grow and develop currently while learning with Aman Mahajan. He has also had the opportunity to collaborate with various artists from India and abroad. Vatsal is also currently working extensively on his own music, and wishes to bring it out early next year. A music educator himself, Vatsal is currently working as a Piano Teacher at Theme Music Institute.
 
Aditya Dutta
Aditya is a professional drummer based in Delhi. He is a part of The Piano Man’s inhouse band. Performing and collaborating as a sessions drummer in the Delhi independent music circuit for the past many years, he has actively played with Rainer Pusch (Germany), Karan Khosla Trio, Aditi Dot., Rythem Bansal, Rie Ona (Japan), Ipshita Roy and various other musicians and acts from the city. His influences range from Jazz, Funk, R'n'B, Soul, Swing to Indian classical Music. He also serves as the drum faculty at various music schools across the city and actively provides private lessons to people keen on learning drums.
 
Aniket Chaturvedi is a multi-instrumentalist and a graduate in audio engineering who's main instruments are the Hindustani flute and Tenor Saxophone. Aniket has been training in music for 25 years with various masters of different disciplines in music. His influences range from his colleagues, seniors, teachers from the Indian music scene to famous musicians such as Tigran Hamasyan, Ustad Zakir Hussain, Pt. Hari Prassad Chaurasia, John Coltrane and Michael Brecker, Chad Lefkowitz- Brown to name a few.
