Sofia began her musical path with the bisel flute, choirs, and a love for German and Brazilian records. She studied classical guitar from 1995, performing with her teacher Walter Lopes at major venues. In high school, she formed a band, composing and performing original songs. Later, she studied voice with Maria do Rosário Coelho, sang pop in Lisbon, and explored jazz in Milan with Laura Fedele.

Since returning to Lisbon in 2009, Sofia has focused on jazz and bossa nova, working with renowned Portuguese musicians and refining her improvisation with Maria João Grancha. She now performs regularly at venues like Casino do Estoril, Duetos da Sé, and Pestana Palace, as well as at private events.
