    Afro Anatolian Tales is a boundary-crossing musical project based in Amsterdam, founded by Dutch-Turkish percussionist Sjahin During. The ensemble is an Amsterdam-based quartet with over 15 years of international touring, 7 albums, and performances in 32 countries across 5 continents.

    Blending ancient Silk Road musical traditions with contemporary electronics and improvisation, the group creates a vibrant bridge between East and West. Their acclaimed debut album, Afro Anatolian Tales, received international recognition, including a Top 5 selection by the BBC and a five-star review from Songlines Magazine.

    Drawing inspiration from the rich musical cultures of Anatolia, Iran, India, and beyond, the quartet crafts immersive, cinematic soundscapes that transcend genre boundaries. Through artistic residencies and collaborations with festivals and venues, Afro Anatolian Tales develops performances that evolve organically in response to each setting and audience encounter.
