RigMona is a decade-old pop-funk band led by Rig and Monalisa, both hailing from the hill town of Kurseong in West Bengal. Influenced by the region’s culture, music, and its blend of Nepali, Hindi, and British heritage, RigMona’s sound is diverse, with their original music carrying flavors of folk, electronic pop, soul, and rap. The band is currently working on a disco-funk album set to release in March 2024.

RigMona’s live cover set features inspiring hits by artists such as the Bee Gees, Jamiroquai, Daft Punk, Amy Winehouse, Miley Cyrus, and Aretha Franklin, among others. Known for collaborating with musicians from different cities and genres, RigMona will be teaming up with some of the city’s finest artists for their upcoming Piano Man gig.
