Mozart’s The Magic Flute is one of the world’s most beloved operas, a fairy tale filled with adventure, love, and transformation. The story follows Prince Tamino on his journey to rescue Princess Pamina, encountering trials of wisdom and courage, aided by the mystical power of a magic flute. This grand production in New Delhi features a full cast of exceptionally talented Indian singers, bringing new vibrancy to this timeless masterpiece. Leading the orchestra is renowned German conductor Guido Johannes Rumstadt, while the visionary stage direction is helmed by the acclaimed Santanu Bose. Adding to the visual spectacle, celebrated designer Rajesh Pratap Singh lends his artistic touch to the costumes. A special highlight of the production is the mesmerizing performance by Rishab Prasanna on the bansari flute, blending Indian musical heritage with Mozart’s classic score, making this an extraordinary cultural experience.
