The DRS Project introduces a power trio featuring drummer Darshan Doshi, bassist Ralph Menezes, and guitarist Sanjeev Aguiar, hitting the ground at full speed with a blend of progressive rock complexity and funk-driven groove. Across three instrumental tracks, the band thrives on friction, with tight structures pressing against fluid feel and discipline brushing up against improvisational spark. The EP does not linger on exposition. It dives straight into motion, delivering a high-impact listen that feels deliberate yet alive. There is a sense of momentum throughout, as if each piece is reaching forward rather than settling into comfort.
The interplay is where the record truly shines. Aguiar's guitar lines slice and coil with nervous energy, Menezes' bass grounds the music with both weight and melody, and Doshi's drumming drives everything forward with force and control. Each player leaves a distinct imprint while serving the collective pulse, creating music that feels cohesive rather than crowded. It is a release that rewards close listening without becoming indulgent, a confident opening statement that signals far more to come.
