Growing up in South London within a British-Bengali household, Tara Lily developed a unique musical identity shaped by her multicultural surroundings. Immersed in everything from jazz, trip-hop and electronica to alt-R&B and classical Indian music, she forged a sound that moves fluidly between genres while remaining unmistakably her own. Her deep cultural awareness and fearless approach to blending worlds have drawn admiration from tastemakers and icons alike, including Virgil Abloh, Gilles Peterson, Iggy Pop and Jamie Cullum. In recognition of her singular vision, Motown Records UK signed Tara as their first British artist.
