Pianist Raj Bhimani is an internationally acclaimed performer whose playing has been praised by The New York Times as “virtuosic, heartfelt and eloquent.” Residing in New York, he frequently appears at venues such as Lincoln Center and performs regularly across North America, Europe, and India. A renowned champion of new music and French piano literature, he worked directly with composer Henri Dutilleux and has had works written specifically for him by prominent composers, including Thérèse Brenet.
In addition to his vibrant solo recitals and recordings—spanning works by Schubert, Ravel, Brahms, and Germaine Tailleferre—Mr. Bhimani performs with the international chamber ensemble Syrinx : XXII. As a dedicated pedagogue, writer, and former board member of The Leschetizky Association, he actively mentors aspiring pianists from foundational stages to performances at prestigious venues like Carnegie Hall.
