Karan Verma, a dynamic vocalist, composer, and songwriter hailing from Chandigarh, has already carved a niche for himself in the Indie rock scene. From his beginnings as a top 50 contestant on ZEE TV's Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs in 2007 to leading notable bands he has amassed nearly 17 years of extensive experience in music. He studied Opera and Western Classical music under Gilles Denizot at KM Music Conservatory in Chennai, founded by Dr. A. R. Rahman In addition, he was mentored in Indian classical music by Murtaza Khan Tapas, son of Padma Vibhushan Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan. Karan's 2023 India tour following the release of his composed and written tracks ‘Nadiya’ and ‘Raat Guzar Jayegi’ , also received critical acclaim. Looking ahead, Karan’s upcoming solo album blends rock, ghazals, and funk, taking listeners on an emotional ride across 8 powerful tracks (including the 4 tracks released as singles). The album serves as a bold declaration—his metaphorical bugle, signalling his arrival as a solo artist. His debut single, already featured on cover of Spotify Fresh Finds India, is just the beginning.
