Founded in 2011 by Nikhil Mawkin, Bollyjazz was born from a vision to create something unprecedented: a seamless fusion of Hindi Film music and Jazz. In an era when remixing Bollywood meant club beats and DJ drops, Bollyjazz took a different path, reviving evergreen melodies from Bollywood's Golden Era through authentic Jazz arrangements featuring Samba, Bossa Nova, Swing, and Funk rhythms.

Directed by Nikhil Mawkin, a Berklee College of Music alumnus, and co-director Nathalie Ramirez Tovar, a musician trained in both Western and Indian classical traditions, Bollyjazz has evolved into a global brand that brings together musicians from across nationalities and continents. What began as a small experiment in Delhi has grown into a project that's graced prestigious stages across India, Mexico, Dubai, and Thailand, from the Serendipity Arts Festival in Goa to the Jaipur Literature Festival, from Piano Man Jazz Club to venues in Xalapa, Mexico.
