Ashanis is an independent singer-songwriter and producer blending pop with influences from R&B, funk, and soul. Having grown up across different cities in India, his music draws from a wide range of cultures and experiences, brought to life through honest songwriting and immersive production. He has performed at major festivals such as Lollapalooza Mumbai, and at leading venues across the country including Prithvi Theatre, NCPA, The Piano Man Jazz Club, High Spirits, Natrani Amphitheatre, DLF Promenade, Le Méridien, Bira Taproom & Skinny Mo’s Jazz Club. As a live performer, Ashanis moves seamlessly between intimate solo sets and dynamic full-band arrangements, balancing stripped-down storytelling with rich, expansive sound. Beyond his solo project, he composes music for advertisements, short films, and theatre, and works as a session musician on guitar, bass and vocals. He is also the lead guitarist for Bombay Denim.
