Joy & Friends is a genre-fluid collective of some of Delhi’s most versatile and seasoned musicians, led by singer-songwriter Aronjoy Das - aka Joy. Offstage, he's a pun-loving meme machine, but once he picks up the guitar, Joy transforms into a pop-rock powerhouse whose music is rooted in life’s most moving and personal moments.

The band brings together a wide spectrum of influences and styles, creating a rich, genre-bending sound that feels both fresh and deeply grounded. On drums, Sarthak Pradhan brings precision and energy, locking in tight rhythms that elevate every live set. Vishrut Shankar Shukla, the band’s bassist, producer, and co-songwriter, fuses progressive and jazz sensibilities - drawing influence from the likes of Tigran Hamasyan, Meshuggah, and King Crimson- adding weight and complexity to the group’s sound.

Lian, with his gospel roots and soulful presence, contributes both rhythm and harmony, shaped by years of playing and singing in church and the vibrant DU music circuit. Rounding out the lineup is guitar virtuoso Shubhanshu, a celebrated session musician known across the Delhi scene. With over a decade of experience and a style that ranges from Guthrie Govan’s technicality to Tom Misch’s smooth funk, he brings versatility and flair to every arrangement.
