"Lunch Sessions" with Chochung Dema

Yugo is Chochung Dema, a Delhi based singer /songwriter and an aspiring storyteller
collaborating with musicians from all genres and stages of their musical journey, helping her
understand how music affects people and of course creating sounds and songs that are a
delicate balance of each artist, reflecting their unique style and life journey. With no formal
training, just sheer love for music and some self taught guitar, she has managed to find a
place for herself and is steadily becoming more active in the live music circuit in India. She
composes and writes in the hope of creating an honest piece of work. Work that is not outside
of who she is but is also curious and unrestricted.
She was recently in the Top 7 of India's only English singing competition Colors Infinity 'The
Stage'. With this growing popularity she managed to gig in the northeast extensively, playing
at festivals like The Orange Music Festival and also becoming a Judge on a singing reality
show in Arunachal Pradesh. She has been playing in pubs and music venues across the
country. Some notable venues like TLR, Depot 48 and The Piano Man helped her kick start her
musical journey. You can find her singing anywhere in the city now, like she always wanted.
