Luise Volkmann, Luise Volkmann is a Cologne-based saxophone player, in the field of different contemporary music. She is interested in the performative-transformative potential of music. She studied jazz saxophone, composition and musicology in Leipzig, Paris and Cologne. As a saxophonist she has played in all over Europe. Her albums were voted among the best albums of 2018 and 2021 by Die Zeit and RND. She has done commissions for Bauhaus Weimar, Philharmonie Köln, Podium Festival Esslingen, among others. Max Andrzejewski, Max Andrzejewski is a composer and improvising drummer who lives in Berlin. His energetic musical work finds itself on the border between contemporary classical music and improvisation. The “maverick esthete” (Süddeutsche Zeitung) Andrzejewski studied drums at the MHS Cologne and the UdK Berlin and, parallel to his work as a drummer, developed into a sought-after composer. Paul Jarret, Born and raised in Paris, France, Paul Jarret is a guitarist and composer evolving into the jazz and improvised music field. Playing the jazz standards as well as radical free improvisation, very influenced by pop/rock sound, folk music and contemporary music, he is involved in many projects in France and Europe as a leader (his 14-piece Acoustic Large Ensemble, his quartet Ghost Songs with Jim Black and Jozef Dumoulin, his quintet Pj5…), a co-leader (Sweet Dog, trio Jarret/Johansson/Von Martens) or a sideman (Luise Volkmann Été Large, Stéphane Kerecki Liberation Quartet, Steven Kamperman Maison Moderne, Ellinoa Ophelia, Loïs Le Van VIND.
